The Boathouse is available daytime and evenings for parties, functions, birthdays, wedding receptions, funeral wakes and corporate meetings and conferences (full wi-fi available as well as AV equipment and screens).

Let us assist you in creating a lasting impression for your special event with our beautiful waterfront venue nestling in the tranquil Ormesby Broad. Relaxing and peaceful, but just a short distance from the A47, with easy access to Norwich. The Boathouse, with flexible accommodation, is ideal for a whole range of functions. Please note we can cater for a minimum of 50 people and a maximum of 250 (depending on your preferred room layout).

Funeral Wakes 

We offer a professional, yet personal and caring venue, for after funeral wakes. We can cater for a minimum of 60 and up to 250 people. From the moment you arrive, our staff will ensure every detail is attended to. We offer a choice of buffets from morning croissants and pastries through to a selection of hot and cold buffets to suit your budget and requirements. We believe the Boathouse is the calmest and beautiful setting for your wake.  Weather permitting, the function rooms, with large glass doors can be opened out on to the decking and our well kept gardens are yours to enjoy.

Parties and Celebrations

Whether you’re looking for an intimate space to share your special occasion with your loved ones or a dance floor to party the night away, we’ve got the facilities to make your event one to remember. Our friendly team will be tending our private fully stocked bar ready to serve your beverages. We have a variety of menus from BBQ’s and Hog Roasts, to Finger Buffets and Hot Dishes. Of course if you’re looking for a formal sit down dinner, we can curate a three course menu to suit your taste.
